Harmony at Home Music isn’t like other in-home music schools.

We’re the perfect fit for busy families who are looking for qualified & friendly music teachers, at family-friendly prices.

Families lead busy lives. Between class, and parents’ work schedules, time is often a resource that is in short supply.

In-home music lessons provide our students the opportunity to avoid the waiting rooms, traffic jams, and pick-ups & drop offs that are all too common with in-studio lessons. This keeps gas in your tank, leaves time in your day, and allows the student to learn in a comfortable and convenient environment. Children shouldn’t have to miss out on learning music due to busy schedules, which is why we make things as easy as possible for busy families!

Finding you the perfect teacher is more than just about where you live and what instrument the student would like to learn.

Our customer service team prides themselves on perfectly matching each student with the right teacher.  Every student is different; has different goals, skill level, and learns in a different way.  By taking the time to understand your needs, we are able to find a perfect fit with one of our highly talented and experienced teachers.

One of our company missions is to bring the joy of music to your entire family. We are the only in-home school to offer per-visit pricing. We do not charge each lesson separately like other music schools.

The price of the lesson is based on total visit length, regardless of how the class is split up amongst the students in the home. This allows families with multiple children the flexibility of sharing a longer time slot, however they would like. Since the lesson is priced by the total length, you are able to take advantage of the discounts offered for longer lessons. This method of pricing means huge discounts for households where multiple students study!

Before you decide if you’d like ongoing music lessons, we want you to meet the teacher.

This allows you to gain a level of comfort and familiarity with them, and provides the teacher an opportunity to meet with the student(s) to ensure they understand everyone’s musical goals and expectations. We have made this as easy as possible by providing a one-time trial lesson. Don’t worry – we still pay the teacher!

We have been in the music lesson business since 2007, and understand the value of the trust our families place in us and do not take it lightly.

Our corporate partnerships with Sterling Backcheck (to provide enhanced screening of all teachers prior to hiring), along with our working relationship with local police departments to perform background checks, ensures we are always working hard to maintain the trust you have shown us. Additionally, all payments are processed through Beanstream, allowing you to take advantage of the security that Visa, Mastercard, and Interac Online provide. Even our website has been designed with this in mind, utilizing the security that hosting company WPEngine, and support CloudFlare provide, with SSL.

Musical performance is an integral part of the learning process, and brings immense joy to the students as well as their family and friends.

We go to great lengths to ensure our yearly recitals are a special event; and it doesn’t hurt that there are plenty of tasty things to eat.  After the recital, we work with local videographers to provide those who couldn’t make it the opportunity to view their family or friend’s performance online.

Our commitment to providing music lessons to all families has helped us to create scheduling options that are among the most flexible in the industry.

Lessons normally take place once per week, but we know there are circumstances where this is simply not possible.  For more information on these policies, see our FAQs.  For billing, we offer direct debit, automatic credit card, as well as debit card. Our payment options are fast and effective, and our automatic options are especially popular among busy families.

At Harmony at Home Music, we feel that nobody should be forced to take music lessons.

You decide on a month-to-month basis whether you would like music lessons or not; it’s that simple.  If you ever need to stop for any reason, just let us know and there will be no hard feelings! We know that there are times when music lessons just aren’t possible, and we respect this!  If you’d like to start up in the future, we are always a call or email away.

Harmony at Home Music offers exceptional email and phone support. All inquiries are answered within 24 hours, and our team is always here to help with anything you may need.

We want to make the process of having music lessons as simple and easy as possible for you and your family – and are happy to help out in any way that we can!

Some music schools charge administration and startup fees before you even begin with your lessons.

Harmony at Home Music does not charge any initial set-up or administration fees, and will never sneak in additional costs. Once you complete the free trial session (which we pay the teacher for), you simply pay on a monthly basis, based on the number of lessons and visit-length. Our invoices are detailed and pricing structure is very transparent. There are absolutely no costs on top of the price of the music lessons. There isn’t even any HST, as music lessons are HST Exempt!
